We are looking for a scrappy, detail oriented Sales Development Representative that is excited to talk to school and district leaders about shifting to an inquiry-based approach.

Working directly with both inbound leads and prospecting lists, the Sales Development Representatives will introduce prospects to inquirED and our social studies products, and determine if the leads are qualified before creating opportunities for the District Sales team. SDRs will also be responsible for working with individual schools from the point of interest to purchase and renewal. And finally, the SDRs will support the District Sales team in building up brand awareness across the country by attending State Council Conferences and setting up and executing on other Field Marketing initiatives.

Moving beyond the traditional textbook, inquirED’s prospective partners are seeking not just social studies curriculum, but often an entirely new way of teaching and learning. We’re looking for someone obsessed with understanding the needs and challenges of different schools, finding solutions, and ensuring our growth team can bring inquiry-based learning to as many students as possible.

In this role, you will:

  • Build the Sales pipeline by driving outbound prospecting and responding rapidly to inbound leads, playing an essential role in securing new business opportunities for the sales team’s pipeline.
  • Work to connect with both inbound and outbound phone via email and phone calls.
  • Possess a deep understanding of inquirED’s offering and differentiators.
  • Strategize and align with Sales and Marketing to target accounts with effective messaging.
  • Utilize Hubspot sequences to achieve weekly prospecting metrics and optimize prospecting techniques.
  • Follow defined sales development team process for prospecting, hosting discovery calls, and passing leads to Sales.
  • Share successful techniques with SDR teammates.
  • Work directly with individual schools from the point of lead → closed won for both existing and new business.
  • Travel to State Council Conferences and set up and execute on other field marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • K-12 classroom experience preferred
  • Highly relational and persistent - not afraid to keep at it with prospects
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized and track progress
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment
  • A willingness to be scrappy, creative, and unconventional
  • A passion for inquirED’s mission to bring inquiry to every student

MUST BE U.S. BASED

The base compensation range for this role is $60,000-80,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a full benefits package. This compensation range and title may be adjusted based on actual experience.
