We are changing the school climate by leveraging the power of safe, fun, and healthy play at school every day. We create a place for every kid on the playground to feel included, be active, and build valuable social and emotional skills by partnering with schools, districts, and after-school programs through services including digital engagement, on-site coaches, professional training for school staff who support play, and consultative partnerships.
ABOUT THE POSITION, as the Regional Partnerships Manager, you will work to cultivate and secure school partnerships and manage relationships. You will help schools realize the value of play for their students and will build new relationships with potential school and district partners. In addition, you will identify and secure public and private resources to support school partnerships. This position specifically includes a blend of relationship cultivation, strategy and outreach for Playworks services to schools, school districts, community partners and funders.
This is a full-time, exempt position which reports directly to the Arizona Regional Director.
Responsibilities include:
- Support Playworks’ Arizona regional leadership team to create and refine an integrated school partnership strategy for growing Playworks’ Arizona services within the state.
- Build new relationships with other community organizations, government agencies and funders as appropriate, as well as representing Playworks at events, conferences and community gatherings.
- Serve as a liaison between Playworks and partners who have purchased Playworks services by representing Playworks at trainings, meetings and consultative visits.
- Identify target market segments, establishing impact and financial goals.
- In collaboration with the AZ Regional Director and Program Director, create campaigns focused on prospecting and developing a strong pipeline of new customers and nurturing relationships with existing customers.
- Work with regional leadership to develop annual Pro sales strategy for New Mexico and Nevada areas
- Manage sales contracts process, Grant Funded Pro and pipelines in Salesforce database.
- Manage and support Pro and direct service renewal goals, calendar, and deliverables
- Collaborate closely with Program Director & Program Manager around scheduling of trainers and feasibility of training delivery monthly to ensure the successful delivery of quality of services and sustainable impact.
- Support data collection for all Pro and direct service partners in the region.
- Drive the building of sales pipeline to increase impact according to plan and in the schools and districts that are of the highest strategic priority.
- Collaborate across Mountain Hub to grow and innovate partnership sales and systems
- Work closely with Head of Partnerships Growth on development sales tactics and innovations
- Become a certified trainer in order to be versed in the science of Pro training and to understand all aspects of the training delivery experience
- Travel throughout Mountain Hub for Partnerships Sales, Conferences, and Potential Delivery Support
- Support the program team in assessing recess, visiting schools, completing Great Recess Framework evaluation tool and making recommendations on best service match for potential partners as a part of the sales process
- Monitor and respond to request for proposals and requests for quote from schools and districts and maintain documentation, reporting requirements, and updates for tracking purposes

Required Skills & Experience
- Passionate commitment to Playworks’ mission and keen desire to contribute to social impact.
- 2+ years sales experience preferably in business-to-business
- Eagerness to learn and represent a growing brand
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Cirrus is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency managing contacts and pipeline in customer relationship management is required.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills that facilitate customer cultivation and negotiations.
- Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with managing long term partnerships
- Experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
- Initiative, self starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Knowledge of youth development principles and practices, especially relating to issues of equity, inclusion and healthy competition within sports and physical activity
- Understanding and experience working in a matrix organizational structure
- Comfort with a playful, exuberant and mildly irreverent workplace culture

- This is a full-time, salary, exempt position.
- At Playworks, our starting salary takes into consideration internal pay equity, geographic pay differential and robust external market data. We highly value transparency and equity within compensation and therefore are committed to adhering to established compensation pay points. The starting salary for this position is $57,400
- A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) plans with employer match of up to 3% of salary, life insurance, employee funded pre-tax health, and child care spending accounts.

Service Environment: This position operates in both a school and office environment both indoors and outdoors. The position interacts with children on playgrounds and in classrooms on a daily basis. A significant portion of the interaction with schools may occur virtually.
Typical physical and mental demands:
This position requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to stand for extended periods at times; walk on a school site in various weather conditions; to climb stairs at some sites; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist and, dependent on assignment the employee may occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
