 About the Role:

The Cultural Care & Community Manager, in close collaboration with the Cultural Care Product Manager, provides training, coordination, and administrative services to implement the Equality Health (EQH) Cultural Care Model throughout the agency, internally and externally. This individual fully executes on all aspects of planning, implementation, communication, management and follow up, related to cultural care training and community engagement. The Cultural Care & Community Manager promotes EQH message and programs through social media webinars, speaking engagements, podcasts, and community engagements.


  • Facilitate cultural care trainings in a personalized and relevant way, through live-in person or virtual formats, from small to large audiences.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the EQH enterprise to coordinate and execute trainings for EQH network practices, community-based organizations, and internal staff.
  • Serve as a host and guest interviewer on a monthly webinars and podcast segments as well as other recorded EQH editorial materials.
  • Host/moderate live English/Spanish pre-recorded monthly webinars on topics related to health, wellness, and disease management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop English/Spanish webinar and podcast content.
  • Is fluent in cultural adaptation and can integrate this expertise into community outreach and engagements including video and social media communications.
  • Oversee monthly webinar production in its entirety – identify subject matter expert as guests, support scheduling and coordination of interviews, research the subject, and prepare the scripts.
  • Participate in rehearsals, including interview dry-run sessions, promo buildup and logistics on day of taping.
  • Promote finished productions through social media outlets.
  • Serve as brand ambassador at mainstream and Hispanic events within the community and on various media outlets.
  • Develop and maintain new contacts and/or partnerships in the community.
  • Engage and coordinate with marketing department on community engagements, media opportunities, and visibility events for EQH.
  • Require travel to provider practices, community-based organizations, and EH locations including in-state and out-of-state.

Required Education, Knowledge, & Experience:

  • Associate degree in Health or Life Sciences or a related field of study; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience professional training, public speaking expertise, and community relations in a related industry.
  • Bilingual; able to read, write and speak Spanish and English
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of cultural competence and culturally congruent care in underserved and vulnerable populations.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, presentation skills, organizational skills and problem solving.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; highly collaborative team approach to work
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite and using web-based technologies

  • Understanding of health disparities and cultural differences in healthcare
