This is a great entry-level role for recent college graduates or individuals looking to transition into a corporate environment focused on social impact. Learn the ins and outs of the business from industry leaders, including Jordan Meranus, Ellevation’s Co-Founder and CEO. The role includes two main components. First, you will serve as an Administrative Assistant supporting the CEO and the Leadership team (LT) and manage the Boston office. Second, you will work with two or three teams in a rotation over the course of the year (ex. Sales, Marketing, Product Support, Education Solutions, etc.). In each team rotation, you will be given a challenging project that will help you learn more about a team and the business. Our goal is that over time you will earn a spot with a department that best reflects your professional aspirations and Ellevation’s hiring needs. 

Role Responsibilities include:

Provide administrative support to the Leadership team

Work with Leadership team members to host team and organization-wide events

Manage the Boston office and ensure it is a welcoming space for great collaboration

Take on projects to support different teams, as part of a rotation over the course of the year designed to help you to explore and learn about Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product and Engineering.

Within 1 month, you will:

Onboard and learn about Ellevation’s mission to improve outcomes for EL students.

Understand Ellevation’s values and how our teams collaborate to drive results.

Learn our internal communication tools, norms, and practices.

Learn all of our internal tools including G-suite, Slack, Concur, Robin, Zoom.

Answer the main Ellevation phone and manage incoming mail and deliveries. Manage our CEO’s schedule and support leadership team meetings and events.

Maintain the Boston office, such as checking the mail, providing office tours, running work-related errands, ordering local lunch orders, etc.

Build strong working relationships with Milk St. building management.

Cleaning responsibilities are shared throughout the whole office, but you’ll be responsible for making sure we stay on track in keeping the kitchen and conference rooms clean, cleaning out the refrigerator regularly, and loading and emptying the dishwasher. Don’t be afraid to ask others for help.

Within 3 months, you will:

Assist with your first departmental project, this could be within Marketing, EdSol, Sales, PSO, etc. 

Coordinate meetings, meals, and travel for the leadership team and other departments as needed.

Complete monthly expense reports for yourself and LT Members in need of assistance. 

Be the point person for all external vendors, office supply requests, and maintenance requests, such as: Pixel, Red Thread, Boston Beans, Grizzly, and EzCatering.

Fully owns the DevPro Bi-Weekly All Hands preparation and Wiki Uploads.

Within 6 months, you will:

Integrate into other departmental projects, this could be within Marketing, Education Solutions, Sales, Customer Success, etc, to gain a deeper understanding of the corporate structure. 

Assist with the planning and execution of the Summer Offsite, and other offsite events. 

Coordinate with department People Leaders to plan and execute departmental offsites and events.

Occasionally coordinate in-person interviews and book candidate travel.

Fully own the management of the office and any improvements needed to nurture a thriving office culture.
