Job Overview

The Bid Manager is responsible for creating and overseeing project budgets and bids to ensure that they meet cost and revenue goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include:

·      Work with key members of the project team to obtain the cost information required to compile the budget; 

·      Oversee the team during the budgeting process and making sure deadlines are met and that budgets meet revenue targets;

·      Create project budgets and project bids;

·      Respond to project team and upper management queries before, during, and after the bid has been submitted;

·      Organize and update financial records and become familiar with company pricing strategies.

This is entry-level position within Westchester, with room for growth. The ideal candidate in this role will be a strong problem solver who is eager to learn. 

·      Strong mathematical and analytical skills;

·      Proficient in Microsoft Excel;

·      Attention to detail;

·      Be well-organized, yet flexible, and tech-savvy;

·      Problem-solving skills;

·      An interest in the educational publishing sector coupled with a willingness to keep up to date with industry trends and pricing;

·      Experience in education, either in the classroom or at an educational publisher or ed tech is a strong plus.
