The Role

As an Associate Content & Curriculum Math Specialist, you will help to create and launch content and curriculum for one of our newest products, Project Pear. A GoGuardian Associate Content & Curriculum Math Specialist is someone who is passionate about designing rigorous and engaging math content and curriculum, and is dedicated to advancing solutions that support all students. Your deep understanding of K-12 Math content, and your empathy for teachers and students, enables you to think critically about and create high-quality math content that meets the needs of all learners. As a member of GoGuardian’s Content & Curriculum team, you should be prepared to work in an environment of rapid experimentation and growth and comfortable creating structure in ambiguous contexts.

This is a full-time, independent contractor role for a 3-month assignment, approximately. This role will be paid hourly. All work will be performed remotely, but candidates must be located in the US. This position is not open to staffing agencies or external vendors, and Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.

What You'll Do

● Upload content written by Content & Curriculum Specialists into Project Pear, ensuring that content is formatted correctly

● Test content before launching to students, verifying that content is free of mathematical errors and does not contain typos or visual bugs

● Write engaging K-12 Math content designed by Content & Curriculum Math Specialists, ensuring content maximizes student engagement and is mathematically accurate and precise

● Track progress of content creation and meet project milestones

● Collaborate with Content & Curriculum Math Specialists, Engineers, Designers, Learning Scientists, Researchers, and Data Scientists

Who You Are

● You have an undergraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (advanced degree preferred)

● You have 3+ years of teaching experience in K-12 Math

● You have designed and created engaging and rigorous curriculum in the past—either for other edtech companies, content

and curriculum providers, or for your own classroom

● You have superb writing skills and a strong command of the English language

● You have exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for visual design

● You are a master communicator and collaborator who values others’ perspectives

● You are constantly looking for new opportunities to learn and approach problems with modesty and a beginner’s mindset

● You have a “can do” attitude and work efficiently to meet project timelines goals
