Looking Technical Writer. You MUST be a Virginia Resident. Position is 100% remote. Would be great for a teacher who has experience with technical writing!

It's a contract to hire position. Contract is 6 months, after which you may become a permanent employee.

Seeking a Technical Writer.

The position will be remote with residency within the Commonwealth of Virginia and some travel to the Supreme Court Building in Richmond, Virginia.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities – Produce high-quality documentation and training resources related to all Case Management systems including system documentation, system user manuals, system release documents, user interface content, and online help content.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience –

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institute of higher learning

• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail

• Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills (written and verbal)

• Strong Interpersonal skills

• Computer Proficiency

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Experience –

• Experience in technical writing and software documentation, or training materials (written or video-based)

• Knowledge of or a willingness to learn to use software necessary to provide quality online instructions for clerks and judges

Experience working with Content Management Systems such as RoboHelp or comparable software (Madcap Flare, Confluence, Framemaker, etc.)

• Experience with HTML/CSS • Experience with Camtasia or comparable video editing software

• Court experience
