About the Role

 As a Sales Representative  you will be responsible for selling MarcoPolo’s school product to the early childhood education market and you will identify and coordinate sales opportunities. You will set meetings with target customers through telemarketing, in-person meetings, conferences and digital marketing campaigns. 

 This role would suit someone who has experience as an educator, who is passionate about early childhood learning and has the right “never give up attitude”. 

What you Will do

  • Develop and maintain product and industry knowledge - you will be an early learning solutions expert with a focus on supplemental digital resources and early learning curriculum. 
  • You will vet and qualify leads and respond to opportunities
  • You will generate leads through telemarketing, email and conferences with the main focus on telesales. 
  • Maintain detailed documentation and analysis of leads on the CRM tool, track and report on status of current leads
  • Utilize our CRM to track pipeline and opportunities
  • Preparing presentations, scheduling appointments and conducting online demonstrations for potential clients
  • Help to coordinate development and implementation of strategic sales plan 
  • Coordinate admin duties around the sales process 
  • Travel to meet customers and to participate in conferences, trade fairs and networking events

Your Skills and Experience

  • You come from an education or teaching background, ideally within early childhood education 
  • You possess a fearless tenacious attitude toward sales with a heavy emphasis on telesales. 
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You possess strong organizational and presentation skills 
  • Ability to understand the different needs of all stakeholders in the school ecosystem, from classroom teacher through administrators and district leads, and adjust your pitch as needed.
  • Knowledge of the early education market 
  • Experience with CRM system and both inbound and outbound lead generation a plus 
  • Passion for education technology
  • Target-driven, determined and ambitious
  • Confident in building relationships and engaging with new clients
  • Comfortable working with leadership team 
  • Able to travel to attend meetings and industry events
