DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to join the People and Operations team at Circle Medical Technologies. As we continue to grow, we are constantly searching for exceptional talent to be a part of our team. This position may be based out of our Montreal, Quebec, San Francisco, CA offices or be remote in the U.S. for the right candidate.

As an L&D Specialist, you will design, maintain and deliver in-house training programs across the company, utilizing a variety of delivery channels and methods. You will develop new training offerings and initiatives to foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge. You will work with the different teams to build and deliver a holistic learning approach and content in various forms e.g. live training sessions, workshops, prerecorded training sessions, articles, and e-learning.

Our ideal Specialist is ready to dive right in and own the L&D platforms. You will implement people solutions that will facilitate career growth and development in support of business results and council staff and management on training strategies. At Circle Medical, you will be in charge of shaping the future of not only the company but our people as well.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Create training that enables employees to apply skills learned and to achieve the required knowledge for their position
  • Develop in-house web-based training programs ensuring high quality employee development solutions
  • Support the development and roll out of all learning solutions using program management and project management best practices, while managing an instructional designer as required
  • Coordinate training logistic, keep the internal training website up to date, set up satisfaction surveys and analyze the results
  • Use industry standards and best class benchmarks to enhance programs and the employee experience
  • Consider business' culture, diversity, and ways of operating and accommodate this by creating creative, dynamic content, ensuring this is reflected in the delivery style
  • Regularly review content to ensure it is relevant, up to date and consistent with processes and guidelines
  • Manage documentation and data, and analyze them for insights and to propose improvements
  • Conduct ongoing review, management and analysis of soft skills training, content and frameworks to drive improvements, and where required propose and deliver changes
  • Maintain compliance with all audit and risk management requirements and all other internal policies

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Experience in the L&D sector
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, transformational or complex programs with multiple stakeholders, deliverables, timelines and competing priorities
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate, influence and build collaborative relationships at all levels of the business and with vendors
  • Ability to adapt positively to a changing environment and manage shifting priorities
  • Strong communication, project management, organizational and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use design thinking principles and concepts in the development of learning centric solutions
  • Experience in conducting needs assessments, identifying training/performance gaps, designing effective learning solutions/tools and evaluating the effectiveness of learning interventions
  • Experience with managing content on learning management systems
  • Ability to research and implement new and improved training tools and/or products

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU AN EDGE:

  • Proven track record with other startups or VC funded companies 
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with graphic design tools
  • A strong background in video creation and editing
  • Experience in audio narration recording and editing
  • Experience with LMS, such as Lessonly

COMPENSATION

In alignment with our values, Circle Medical has transparent salaries based on location (San Francisco, Montreal, or remote in the US), output levels, and options to trade cash for stock.

This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual salary of $58,000 - $85,000 plus stock options, generous vacation, and full medical/dental benefits.
